RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Danantara Indonesia will play a greater role in coordinating national economic policy, with the government planning to involve the institution in the Financial Sector Policy Committee (KKSK)’s decision-making process.
“This involvement is intended to ensure that decisions have a direct impact on the economy and businesses, not just from the fiscal and monetary perspectives,” said Rosan Roeslani, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Danantara Indonesia and Minister of Investment and Downstreaming, after a closed-door meeting at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Monday, July 28, 2026, as quoted by Antara.
According to Minister Rosan, the move will strengthen policy coordination by considering the entire economic ecosystem. He noted that the government’s proposed concept is to expand the KKSK’s role through a “KKSK Plus” scheme.
Minister Rosan added that the scheme also opens opportunities for Danantara Indonesia to participate in regular meetings with the government’s economic team.
Previously, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi announced that the government had accepted Perry Warjiyo’s resignation as Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI). BI Senior Deputy Governor Destry Damayanti has been appointed acting governor until a permanent successor is named in accordance with statutory procedures.
Minister Rosan emphasized that Danantara Indonesia did not propose a candidate for the new BI Governor. “That is the President’s prerogative,” he affirmed. ***
