RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian government has enacted the 2026–2045 Creative Economy Master Plan. President Prabowo Subianto made the statement during a press conference in Jakarta on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.
He signed Presidential Regulation No. 37 of 2026 on July 2, 2026. The regulation serves as Indonesia's medium- and long-term creative economy development framework.
The master plan provides policy directions, development targets, and implementation strategies through 2045. It also guides the government in strengthening Indonesia's creative economy ecosystem.
Indonesia's Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, conveyed the significance of the newly enacted regulation. He said the master plan provides a long-term direction for national creative economy development.
"On July 2, 2026, President Prabowo Subianto enacted Presidential Regulation No. 37 of 2026 on the Creative Economy Master Plan, as the framework for Indonesia's medium- and long-term creative economy development," he said.
The master plan consists of 21 articles and two appendices. The first outlines the 2026–2045 roadmap, while the second contains the 2026–2029 action plan.
The roadmap also groups creative economy subsectors into four clusters and introduces four new subsectors. The action plan defines priority programs and institutional responsibilities for implementation.
"With the issuance of the 2026–2045 , we have delivered tangible proof of President Prabowo's commitment to developing the creative economy as a new engine of national economic growth, starting from the regions," he said.
The Indonesian government expects the regulation to strengthen a more competitive creative economy ecosystem. The initiative also supports Indonesia Emas 2045 through integrated and sustainable development.
