RRI.CO.ID, Jeddah - Indonesian herbal products are making a stronger push into the global market, this time through Saudi Arabia. PT Dami Sariwana, an Indonesian natural health product manufacturer, has secured a Rp2.5 billion business deal for its first shipment to the country.

The agreement was formalized through the signing of a Letter of Agreement between PT Dami Sariwana and Al Itholah Trading, a Saudi Arabian distributor. The signing took place at the Integrated Services Building of the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Jeddah on Monday, June 15, 2026.

Responding separately from Jakarta, Director General of National Export Development at the Ministry of Trade, Fajarini Puntodewi, said the first export shipment shows the strong potential of Indonesian herbal products in the global market.

“This success is the result of synergy between business players, the Ministry of Trade, and Indonesian trade representatives overseas in opening market access. We hope this first shipment agreement will open wider opportunities to increase exports of Indonesian herbal products to the Middle East,” Puntodewi said in an official statement on Thursday, June 18, 2026.

She added that the deal was also a concrete result of the Ministry of Trade’s exporter development program, carried out through the Center for Export Human Resources Development and Trade Services. “This proves that the Ministry of Trade’s mentoring program is able to produce resilient exporters who are ready to compete in a highly competitive market such as the Middle East. We are optimistic that this momentum will strengthen the position of Indonesian herbal products,” she said.

Head of the Indonesia Trade Promotion Center, ITPC Jeddah, Bagas Haryotejo, said the growing trend of healthy living in Saudi Arabia has created a positive opening for Indonesian herbal products. To make sure the cooperation runs smoothly, ITPC Jeddah also carried out a thorough verification of the Saudi importer’s credibility before the agreement was signed.

“This preventive measure is important to ensure the credibility of business partners and provide a sense of security for Indonesian exporters. We are committed to overseeing this process so that PT Dami Sariwana’s first shipment runs smoothly. Moreover, the partner in Saudi Arabia has already committed to placing follow-up orders if the product is well received,” he said.

The agreement with Al Itholah Trading covers three flagship herbal products: male vitality supplements, blood sugar-lowering supplements, and body slimming products. In the initial stage, the first shipment to Saudi Arabia will consist of one container, scheduled to depart in July after meeting the standards of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority.
