RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Indonesia's Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, announced that the single-gate export policy will officially take effect on June 1, 2026, as a transition period. He made this announcement at a press conference at Wisma Danantara, Jakarta, Sunday, May 31, 2026.
The Minister also noted that during this period, export activities will continue as usual for the relevant companies. However, exporters are now required to report their export activities to PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI).
“Implementation will take effect starting tomorrow, June 1, 2026, which is a transition period in which export activities will proceed as usual for the relevant companies. However, exporting companies are now required to report their export activities through or to PT DSI as the state-owned export enterprise,” Airlangga said.
Furthermore, he explained that the reporting process will be handled by the Directorate General of Customs and Excise through the CEISA 4.0 Portal. The government will conduct periodic evaluations during the first three months, and full implementation is targeted to be in place by January 1, 2027, at the latest.
He stated, “In accordance with the established timeline, full implementation will take effect no later than January 1, 2027. This will give businesses, industry players, exporters, and other relevant stakeholders sufficient time to make the necessary adjustments.”
In addition, Airlangga explained that this extended transition period is provided to allow businesses to make adjustments without disrupting ongoing trade contracts with international partners. The government is committed to maintaining a conducive business climate and enhancing the confidence of foreign trade partners.
In the initial phase, this policy will be implemented for Indonesia’s three largest export commodities: coal, palm oil, and ferroalloys. The primary objectives of this single-gate system are to strengthen oversight, ensure the validity of export data, and prevent under-invoicing, transfer pricing, and the diversion of export proceeds, thereby optimizing government revenue.
