Investment Minister Names Five Leading Investor Countries for Q1-2026

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian Investment and Downstream Industry Minister Rosan P. Roeslani announced that investment realization in the first quarter of 2026 (Q1-2026) reached IDR 498.79 trillion (approximately USD 29.10 billion). He noted that five countries were the largest contributors to this achievement.
“The contribution of these five countries accounted for 29 percent of total realized investment during the period,” Minister Rosan said in Jakarta on Tuesday, April 22, 2026.
Singapore ranked first with investments of around USD 4.6 billion, followed by Hong Kong with USD 2.7 billion. Three developed economies, China, the United States, and Japan, were the next major contributors, with respective investments of USD 2.2 billion, USD 1.7 billion, and USD 1 billion.
Minister Rosan added that the basic metals industry, including smelters, was the largest contributor to investment in Q1 2026, accounting for a total of IDR 64.2 trillion. Other significant sectors included services, mining, housing and industrial estates, and transportation, warehousing, and telecommunications.
He emphasized that this composition reflects Indonesia’s strong economic ties with global partners. “Interaction with investors continues through working visits by President Prabowo Subianto, as well as individual visits by ministers,” Minister Rosan said.
