RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita emphasized that the National Industrial Information System (SIINas) plays a strategic role in supporting data-driven industrial policymaking based on real conditions in the field. SIINas serves as a key instrument for the government to obtain accurate, up-to-date, and nationally integrated industrial data.
“With strong data, the government can formulate the right policies to strengthen the competitiveness of national industries while maintaining the sustainable growth of the manufacturing sector,” Agus Gumiwang said in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.
According to the Minister, the active participation of industry players in reporting data through SIINas is also part of efforts to strengthen the national industrial ecosystem. In addition to supporting more precise policymaking, the collected data can be used to map regional industrial potential, identify industrial development needs, and strengthen synergy between the central government and regional administrations.
The Ministry of Industry, through the Samarinda Center for Industrial Standardization and Services (BSPJI), held an online socialization session on SIINas registration on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. The event was attended by 39 participants, consisting of industrial business actors and representatives from regional Industry Offices across districts and cities in North Kalimantan Province.
The session featured Endang Sulamidamish from the Organization, Work Procedures, and Process Team (OTPK) as the speaker, with Haspiadi serving as moderator. The materials presented covered SIINas registration procedures and strengthened understanding of industrial reporting mechanisms.
Head of the Agency for Industrial Standardization and Services Policy (BSKJI), Emmy Suryandari, stated that the socialization activity is part of efforts to strengthen industrial standardization systems and services while improving compliance in industrial data reporting.
“BSKJI continues to encourage the optimization of SIINas as a national industrial database. Through the support of service units such as BSPJI, we aim to ensure that industry players across regions receive adequate assistance in the process of reporting industrial data,” she said.
She added that integrated industrial data is crucial in supporting the transformation of the national industry, including the formulation of region-based industrial development policies, strengthening industrial supply chains, and developing priority industrial sectors.
Meanwhile, Head of BSPJI Samarinda, Ransi Pasae, stated that the socialization activity reflects the institution’s commitment to improving compliance among industrial players in fulfilling their obligation to report data through SIINas.
“SIINas is an integrated digital platform that functions as the national hub for industrial data and information. To encourage business actors to actively participate in periodic data reporting, assistance from relevant agencies, especially those overseeing the industrial sector, is essential. Through this socialization activity, we provide education and understanding about the mechanisms, benefits, and importance of SIINas for industry players and regional governments,” Ransi conveyed.
He added that active involvement from regional governments is a key factor in encouraging industries to report data consistently. With collaboration between the central government, regional governments, and business actors, the availability of national industrial data is expected to become more complete, accurate, and integrated.
