RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – The government is opening up great opportunities for Micro Small and Medium Enterprices (MSMEs) entrepreneurs to own their own homes. Minister of Housing and Residential Areas (PKP), Maruarar Sirait, made the statement along with his wife at the Kriya Nusantara Expo 2026 event in Jakarta.

In her speech, his wife, Shinta Maruarar Sirait, emphasized that this event was not only a promotional platform for MSMEs, but also a form of socialization of the government's program in supporting the target of three million houses, especially for women MSME players.

“The hope is that through this socialization, MSME players can own a house, not just a dream,” she said, as reported by the ministry's website on Monday, 2 March 2026.

Meanwhile, Minister Maruarar stressed the importance of MSMEs having high competitiveness so that they can move up the ladder in a sustainable manner. According to him, various programs of the ministry, including the ‘gentengisasi’ program, are designed to involve MSMEs as part of the national housing supply chain.

“MSMEs must move up the ladder not because they are pitied, but because they have high quality and competitiveness,” he said.

The government is preparing a subsidized housing financing scheme with a tenor of up to 30 years so that monthly installments are more affordable and do not burden borrowers. The minister and his wife stated that they would provide down payment assistance for subsidized housing for 100 eligible individuals, consisting of MSME entrepreneurs, MSME workers, drivers, and other professions.

The Kriya Nusantara Expo 2026 will be held over two days, 2-3 March 2026, featuring around 50 MSME tenants in the fashion and culinary sectors, as well as a series of activities such as bazaars and thematic talk shows.
