RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Ministry of Industry fully supports the “Gentengisasi” (Roof Tile Movement) program initiated by President Prabowo Subianto. The program is seen as part of efforts to improve the quality of public housing, enhance the aesthetics of residential environments, and promote the use of environmentally friendly and sustainable building materials.

The President introduced the Gentengisasi program as part of the Indonesia ASRI (Safe, Healthy, Clean, Beautiful) Movement. The initiative is expected to encourage the involvement of national industries, delivering tangible impacts on economic growth and public welfare.

In line with the President’s directive, Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita stated that the Gentengisasi program presents a strategic opportunity for the national roof tile and ceramics industries to increase production capacity, expand investment, and strengthen the competitiveness of domestic products through the implementation of standardization and industrial technology.

“This Gentengisasi program marks an important momentum for the national roof tile and ceramics industries to enhance productivity and competitiveness, while strengthening the domestic building materials industry structure,” Agus stated in Jakarta on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.

Head of the Agency for Industrial Standardization and Services Policy (BSKJI), Emmy Suryandari, emphasized that strengthening the building materials industry through the Gentengisasi program must be supported by consistent implementation of standards and enhanced technical services across all BSKJI work units.

“BSKJI encourages the Gentengisasi program not only to focus on increasing production volume, but also on meeting quality standards, improving process efficiency, and ensuring sustainability. Standardization and industrial services are key instruments to guarantee that national roof tile products maintain assured quality and compete in both domestic and global markets,” Emmy said.

To support policy implementation, the Center for Standardization and Industrial Services for Ceramics and Non-Metallic Minerals (BBSPJIKMN) declared its readiness to actively contribute through consultancy services and industrial technology optimization for businesses in the roof tile and building materials sectors.

Head of Industrial Services at BBSPJIKMN, Azhar Fitri, stated that the institution serves as a technical partner for industry and government, bridging national policies with technical implementation in the field.

“Through consultancy services and industrial technology optimization, BBSPJIKMN supports the national Gentengisasi movement to be implemented in a technical, measurable, and sustainable manner, while strengthening national industrial competitiveness,” he said.

As concrete support, BBSPJIKMN provides various strategic services, including technical assistance in implementing the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) for roof tile products, production process optimization to improve energy efficiency and productivity, support for industrial development and capacity expansion through technical feasibility studies and factory layout design, as well as assistance in meeting industrial, environmental, and occupational safety regulations.

Through synergy between government policies, industry players, and technical institutions, the Ministry of Industry is optimistic that the national Gentengisasi movement will not only improve housing quality but also become a strategic momentum to strengthen the structure of the national ceramics and non-metallic minerals industries.

The Ministry of Industry also encourages all stakeholders to actively collaborate to ensure the Gentengisasi program delivers optimal benefits for society and industry, while supporting sustainable national industrial development.
