RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka has urged the Idepreneurs Club, a leading community of entrepreneurs, to actively mentor and support Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as well as startups.

Speaking at the Vice Presidential Palace on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, Gibran stressed that building an inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem is essential for strengthening national economic resilience.

He called on business organizations to look beyond large-scale enterprises and take a proactive role in empowering micro, ultra-micro, and aspiring entrepreneurs who are just starting out.

“We were advised to keep moving and gathering entrepreneurs. If others focus on big businesses, we are asked to remain concerned for the small ones, even those just taking their first steps,” said Ahmad Rifqi, Secretary-General of the Idepreneurs Club, after the meeting, as quoted by Antara.

VP Gibran emphasized that embracing small-scale businesses would expand the nation’s productive economic base and reinforce grassroots economic strength. His vision reflects President Prabowo Subianto’s directives, which consistently highlight people-centered growth, increased MSME productivity, and the creation of innovation-driven startups.

The meeting also provided a platform to discuss systemic challenges faced by MSMEs, particularly limited access to capital and difficulties in securing funding for growth.

Participants explored strategies to expand markets and scale local products to reach wider audiences. The dialogue further underscored the importance of capacity building to enhance professional skills and strengthen networks among emerging entrepreneurs.

Ahmad Rifqi noted that small steps taken by mentorship communities form the foundation of the country’s economic momentum. The Idepreneurs Club, he added, is expected to serve as a hub that directly connects with the needs of ultra-micro business owners, fostering the courage to launch new ventures.

The session was attended by Idepreneurs Club Founder Prianto Indra, General Chair Vincent Witarsa, General Treasurer Satya Jaya Sakti, and 19 other members, all of whom shared their experiences in guiding small businesses toward sustainable success. ***
