RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s crypto investor base has climbed to 20.19 million, signaling broader and more inclusive adoption of digital assets across the country, according to industry players.

The Financial Services Authority (OJK) recorded total crypto-asset transactions in Indonesia at IDR 482.23 trillion (USD 28.62 billion) in 2025. In January 2026 alone, transaction value reached IDR 29.24 trillion.

“Reaching 20.19 million investors signals that crypto has been accepted as a popular investment instrument,” Indodax Vice President Antony Kusuma said in a statement in Jakarta on Friday, February 13, 2026, as quoted by Antara.

Indodax is one of Indonesia’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, facilitating the trading of digital assets such as Bitcoin and other tokens for domestic investors.

Antony said transactions on Indodax totaled IDR 201 trillion in 2025. In January 2026, the platform recorded an additional IDR 11.3 trillion in transactions, with total users reaching 9.7 million. He said the figures reflected strong investor confidence in the exchange.

Adequate liquidity, Antony added, plays a key role in ensuring that investors feel secure when trading. He also stressed that OJK regulations provide a solid foundation for a safe and credible investment environment, strengthening protection for market participants.

To enhance transparency, Indodax publishes an on-chain Proof of Reserve (PoR), allowing the public to verify the exchange’s asset reserves openly. As of February 12, 2026, total assets recorded under Indodax’s PoR stood at around IDR 9.3 trillion and were publicly verifiable.

Antony said the initiative forms part of the company’s commitment to maintaining accountability and providing users with greater visibility over asset management.

With solid industry fundamentals and increasingly mature regulatory support, Antony expressed optimism that Indonesia’s crypto industry would continue to expand and contribute positively to the country’s digital economy. ***
