RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia's state-owned retail and trade company PT Sarinah showcased local brands at the Indonesia Pavilion during the World Economic Forum 2026 in Switzerland, aiming to boost exports and connect local products with global buyers through strategic curation, market-driven design, and international-quality standards.
“We see our participation at the Indonesia Pavilion as part of a strategic approach to bring Indonesian local products to the global market in a targeted and effective way,” PT Sarinah President Director Raisha Syarfuan said in a press statement received on Saturday, January 24, as quoted by Antara.
“The year 2026 marks a momentum for strengthening Sarinah’s exports. The products we showcased not only reflect Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage but also demonstrate readiness to compete and relevance to international buyers,” Raisha added.
At the global economic event, held from January 19-13, 2026 in Davos, Sarinah presented over 30 curated local brands, tailoring presentations to meet international standards, buyer expectations, and market trends.
The showcased portfolio included premium textiles such as batik, ulos, and tenun, alongside culturally rich home décor, accessories, and curated food & beverage products representing Indonesia’s unique flavors.
All products were prepared with international market readiness, including material quality, design, production consistency, and compliance with global standards.
Sarinah’s strategic curation considers global trends, buyer preferences, and long-term commercialization potential. By understanding international buyer behavior, the company ensures that its products are not only culturally authentic but also commercially competitive.
Participation in the Indonesia Pavilion aligns with the national efforts to strengthen Indonesia’s economic diplomacy, expand global market access, and promote national creative products within sustainable international trade ecosystems.
Moving forward, Sarinah aims to continue its role as a curator, aggregator, and export accelerator for selected local brands, adopting a market-driven approach to ensure Indonesian products remain relevant, high-value, and competitive on the global stage. ***
