KBRN, Jakarta: The Indonesian Ministry of Trade's Director General of National Export Development, Fajarini Puntodewi, highlighted the optimism of Indonesian businesses. She said that registrations for the 2025 Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) are about to reach a thousand participants.

She expressed her optimism about bringing Indonesian products to compete globally. “We hope that the number of participants will increase as TEI 2025 approaches,” said Puntodewi in a written statement on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

The Ministry reported that as of September 21, 2025, there were 977 participants registered for TEI 2025. They consisted of large companies and export-oriented small and medium-sized enterprises.

The fashion, lifestyle, and home decoration zones dominate the participants' list with 563 companies. The Good Design Indonesia Pavilion, the National Handicraft Council (Dekranas), and the Jakarta Muslim Fashion Week are also participating.

The food, beverage, agriculture, licensing, and franchise zones recorded the participation of 276 companies. This zone displays coffee, palm oil, processed food products, and the Export-Oriented Village booth.

There are 138 companies with various products represent the Manufacturing and Services zone. Textiles, automotive, wood products, pharmaceuticals, and logistics services are also displayed.

Puntodewi emphasized that TEI 2025 provides equal export opportunities for all business actors. She also highlighted that this opportunity is open to villages and MSMEs.

“With thousands of participants and buyers increasing daily, TEI 2025 opens up export opportunities for Indonesia. This exhibition also starts a new story of how national products find their enthusiasts in the global market,” she said.

For the first time, the Ministry provides a UMKM BISA Ekspor pavilion at TEI 2025. This pavilion displays specially curated products from MSMEs under the Ministry's auspices.

Indonesian MSMEs are the primary support for the national economy. With the UMKM BISA Ekspor pavilion, MSME players are provided a platform to meet directly with buyers,” said Puntodewi.

Similarly, Indonesian Trade Attaché in Washington DC, US, Ranitya Kusumadewi, considers TEI 2025 a strategic gateway. She said the exhibition opens global trade access for Indonesia's leading products.

"TEI is a strategic gateway for global businesses to explore trade potential with Indonesia. Through TEI, various leading products such as commodities, fisheries, manufacturing, and services are offered extensive cooperation opportunities," she said at the Indonesia Tourism, Trade, and Investment Forum (ITTI) Forum 2025 in Washington, Saturday, September 9.

Trade Expo Indonesia 2025 will be held from October 15 to 19 at ICE BSD City, Tangerang. Marking its 40th edition, the exhibition carries the theme “Discover Indonesia's Excellence: Trade Beyond Boundaries.” ***
