RRRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Wall of Jakarta event successfully transformed public spaces on Tidung Island into vibrant open-air art displays, leveraging urban creative culture to mark World Tourism Day across the Kepulauan Seribu Regency.
Organized by the Kepulauan Seribu Regency Administration alongside the Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf), the event took place from September 26 to 27 around the famous Jembatan Cinta (Bridge of Love) area in South Kepulauan Seribu.
"Through art, creativity, and community collaboration, we want to deliver a new experience while strengthening Tidung Island's tourism appeal on World Tourism Day," said Kepulauan Seribu Regional Secretary Tri Indrawan in a statement on Sunday, September 27, as quoted by Antara.
The cornerstone of the event was the Paint the Island program, featuring prominent Indonesian mural artists Hardthirteen, GEMS, KSSA, FVNTAZE, NEBSTER, and WKA, who executed large-scale murals across public infrastructure.

"These works are applied across several public spaces to beautify the area while enriching the experience for tourists," Tri noted, adding that the Jakarta Provincial Administration has given special attention to Tidung Island’s creative economy, tourism, and micro-business sectors.
Complementing the street art installations, the Wall of Jakarta featured Wall Jamming interactive sessions covering screen printing, sketch drawing, coffee brewing, and live styling. Creative economy leaders including Ahmad Romero Comacho,
Andi Sadha, Hardthirteen, and Hafizh Zulfikar led talk shows on local creative sector development, while musical acts Budi Doremi, Karokean, and Balle Keroncong performed on the main stage.
Alongside artistic programming, the event integrated environmental initiatives including mangrove planting, marine life releases, and waste management practices. South Kepulauan Seribu Deputy Subdistrict Head Sidartawan praised the strong local participation, stating that the murals and activities have made the Jembatan Cinta landmark significantly more engaging for residents and traveling visitors alike. ***
