RRI.CO.ID, Nusa Dua - The Nusa Dua tourism area in Badung Regency, Bali, has introduced a new cultural attraction titled Cipta Rwa Loka, a contemporary art performance that blends the traditional Balinese philosophy of Rwa Bhineda with modern visual technology.
The performance, created by the Naluri Manca community, is designed to introduce Balinese local wisdom to tourists in a fresher and more innovative format.
“Tourists receive a quality and authentic experience, and this also has the potential to extend their length of stay,” said General manager of State-owned PT Pengembangan Pariwisata Indonesia (ITDC), I Made Agus Dwiatmika, in Nusa Dua, Badung Regency on Friday, July 24, 2026.
The new cultural attraction, Cipta Rwa Loka, is inspired by the philosophy of the people of the Island of the Gods, Rwa Bhineda, which refers to two different but complementary elements in life and highlights the meaning of balance.
The name Cipta Rwa Loka reflects three main meanings. Cipta as human awareness and creative power, Rwa as a symbol of duality, and Loka as the space of life where all these dynamics take place, inviting the audience to feel the harmony between Balinese tradition and modernity.
Through a combination of choreography, music, artistic costumes, and visual technology, the performance offers an experience that blends cultural values, spirituality, and creative innovation.
The performance by dozens of adult and child artists, lasting around 45 minutes, also drew attention with its colorful lighting at the Taksu Arts Stage on Peninsula Island, The Nusa Dua, Badung, starting at 7 p.m. local time.
In addition, the contemporary art creation not only entertains tourists but also introduces Balinese art and philosophy in a more modern format. “This cultural activation not only improves the quality of the tourist experience, but also encourages the growth of the creative economy, cultural preservation, and the creation of shared value for the community,” he added, as quoted by Antara.
Cipta Rwa Loka is the latest work from the Balinese arts and culture community Naluri Manca, which was founded in 2020. The group won a talent competition aired by a national private television station in 2022 and was recorded in the Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI) in 2024 for a large-scale multigenre art performance. ***
