RRI.CO.ID, Singkawang - The multicultural city of Singkawang, West Kalimantan, once again solidified its reputation as Indonesia’s bedrock of social harmony through the highly anticipated Grebeg Suro 2026 Cultural Carnival.
Thousands of enthusiastic residents lined downtown streets on Sunday, June 21, 2026, to witness a dazzling, inclusive parade showcasing the deep inter‑ethnic tolerance that defines the region.
The parade was officially inaugurated by Deputy Mayor Muhammadin, who also joined the procession aboard a decorated float alongside city delegates, underscoring direct institutional support for the grassroots festival.
