RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, expressed support for Indonesia’s national film industry and other creative economy activities during the upcoming Eid holiday.

According to the minister, the long holiday period is expected to help stimulate economic activities in several creative sectors, including music, fashion, culinary, crafts, and film.

“With the relatively long holiday period provided by the government, it will help not only boost the activities of travelers or tourists visiting regions, but also support creative economy players, including musicians, those in the fashion, culinary, and craft sectors. Economic activity in the regions will also increase through holiday spending,” Riefky Harsya stated to the reporters following a dialogue with Radio Republik Indonesia in Jakarta on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

In the film sector, he noted six Indonesian films are scheduled to be released during the Eid holiday, offering audiences a variety of genres from horror and drama to family films.

“It is true that during this Eid holiday there will be six national films. These are remarkable films. Two are horror films, two are dramas, and two are children’s films,” he said.

Several films scheduled for release include Danur: The Last Chapter, Suzzanna: Santet Dosa di Atas Dosa, Na Willa, Pelangi di Mars, Tunggu Aku Sukses Nanti, and Senin Harga Naik. The six films are planned to be screened in Indonesian cinemas starting in mid-March 2026.

“This means that during this year’s holiday there will be six national films, produced and involving a number of quite senior artists. I believe they will be very interesting,” Minister Teuku Riefky.

He also encouraged the public to make use of the Eid holiday by watching Indonesian films in cinemas as a way to support the national film industry.
