RRI.CO.ID, Banda Aceh - The Class II TPI Sabang Immigration Office in Aceh has carried out administrative action by deporting four foreign nationals (WNA) from four different countries. They were found to have misused their stay permits following an intensive surveillance operation in the Iboih tourism area of Sabang City.
Head of the Sabang Immigration Office, Muchsin Miralza, confirmed that the deportation took place on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, via Sultan Iskandar Muda (SIM) International Airport.
"This firm action is the result of intensive surveillance operations conducted in the Iboih tourism area, Sabang City," Muchsin said in a release received in Banda Aceh, as quoted by Antara.
The deported individuals include a male from the United Kingdom (AEC) and three females from Portugal (SSG), South Africa (CRB), and Cyprus (JM).
The investigation was initiated by the Intelligence and Immigration Enforcement (Inteldakim) team, utilizing a combination of cyber surveillance and discreet field monitoring. Officers conducted a field inspection immediately after the individuals completed their activities, discovering strong indications that their visas were being used for purposes other than those officially permitted.
Specifically, the four foreign nationals were found to be in violation of Article 122 letter a of Law No. 6/2011 on Immigration, which pertains to the misuse of stay permits.
Muchsin emphasized that the deportation serves as a clear warning to other visitors. The administrative action is intended to ensure that all foreign activities within Sabang remain strictly within the legal framework of the Republic of Indonesia.
"This is part of our commitment to maintaining national sovereignty. We urge all foreign nationals and tourism businesses in Sabang to always obey immigration regulations and use visas according to their designation," Muchsin added.
The Sabang Immigration Office remains committed to maintaining a secure environment for tourism while upholding the integrity of the nation's borders and legal stay requirements. ***
