RRI.CO.ID, Kudus - Kudus Deputy Regent, Bellinda Putri Sabrina Birton, utilized the 2026 Kartini Day commemorations to champion a dual vision for modern Indonesian women. She called for active participation in regional development alongside the unapologetic integration of motherhood into professional life.

Leading the ceremony at the Kudus Regency Pavilion in Central Java, on Tuesday, April 21, Bellinda’s presence alongside her child served as a powerful living testament to the evolving role of women in the public sphere.

The Deputy Regent emphasized that while women are increasingly visible across various sectors, a tangible gap in gender equality remains a hurdle for the region. She called for a unified front to dismantle these systemic disparities, urging women to be the primary drivers of progress in Central Java.

"This Kartini Day momentum serves as an important reminder of the vital role women play in driving regional progress. We hope that women in Kudus remain enthusiastic in supporting development and continue to fight for gender equality. Moving forward, we as women must continue to fight together so that equality truly becomes a reality," she said.

Bellinda offered specific encouragement to women operating in competitive public spaces and those serving as their families' primary breadwinners, urging them to remain resilient despite multifaceted challenges.

"To all women empowered in the public sphere, keep creating and keep fighting. Especially for those who are the pillars of their families, stay spirited in bringing happiness to your respective households," she said, as quoted by Antara.

"I am accompanied by my child because they wanted to come along. My principle is that as long as the work is completed well and there is no disruption, it is not a problem," Bellinda explained.

She highlighted that such moments are precious amidst her busy schedule as a regional official. "This can also serve as an example for mothers out there, especially single parents. As long as the work is finished and the child is cared for, everything can run smoothly."
