RRI.CO.ID, Nusantara - Visitors to Nusantara now have the opportunity to enjoy more than just sightseeing. The Nusantara Capital Authority (IKN) offers an opportunity for the public to experience something new: vacationing while planting trees at the Tropical Rainforest Miniature (MHHT) in the Nusantara Central Government Area (KIPP).
This program is part of the holiday tour program, allowing participants to participate hands-on a green impact in Nusantara. Registration is open through the IKNOW app, with a daily quota of up to 150 participants, who can join with family, friends, or colleagues.
Spokesperson of the Nusantara Capital Authority and Special Staff for Public Communication, Troy Pantouw, said the activity aims to engage the public more deeply to Nusantara.
“We want visitors not only to come and see but also to participate. By planting trees, they can experience Nusantara firsthand and develop a sense of ownership. This activity runs from April 3 to 5, 2026, during the Easter holiday, and is free of charge,” said Troy at KIPP Nusantara on Thursday, 2 April 2026.
He added that the program also encourages environmental awareness while introducing sustainable development concepts in the area. Troy reminded participants to prepare properly before taking part, including maintaining physical fitness and bringing personal equipment.
“We advise participants to stay healthy and bring hats, umbrellas, and personal water bottles. This is also part of our effort to reduce plastic use in Nusantara. We also wish a Happy Easter to those celebrating,” he concluded.
Registered participants are expected to arrive at the Rest Area meeting point no later than 08:00 WITA. They will then depart together by bus to the MHHT KIPP Nusantara planting site.
Through this program, visitors not only witness the development of Nusantara but also contribute directly to the ongoing process. Hands-on activities like planting trees provide a meaningful experience that connects tourism with environmental care.
