RRI.CO.ID, South Aceh - The South Aceh Regency Administration in Aceh Province has officially launched a digitalization program featuring Interactive Flat Panels (IFP) across its educational units. This technological shift aims to ensure that students in the region remain competitive and well-equipped for an increasingly digital global landscape.

During the program’s inauguration at the South Aceh Education and Culture Agency on Thursday, March 12, 2026, South Aceh Regent, Mirwan MS, emphasized that these tools are essential for adapting to a rapidly changing world.

"The world is changing fast. We are no longer in an era where whiteboards and chalk are the only windows to knowledge. Today, classroom boundaries have been collapsed by the power of information technology," he said, as quoted by Antara.

The Regent highlighted that South Aceh must not remain a mere spectator in the digital transformation era. By integrating IFP methods directly into the classroom, the local administration intends to make the teaching and learning process more interactive, modern, and effective.

This initiative is designed to provide local students with limitless access to high-quality learning materials, effectively leveling the playing field with students in major metropolitan cities.

"Our hope is that this program can support the learning process of students to be more effective and open wider access to diverse knowledge," the Regent added.

He further noted that without such adaptations, the youth of South Aceh risk falling behind in a highly competitive age.

Despite the high-tech upgrades, the Regent reminded educators that their role remains irreplaceable. He urged teachers to continuously enhance their digital literacy and capacity to create innovative and engaging learning environments.

"Technology is only a tool. The role of the teacher as an inspirer and character guide remains paramount. Therefore, we urge teachers to master digital platforms to foster student independence," he concluded. ***
