RRI.CO.ID, North Minahasa – The North Minahasa Regency Tourism Agency in North Sulawesi has implemented a dedicated reading program as part of a broader effort to provide educational enrichment for the younger generation.

Every civil servant at the North Minahasa Tourism Agency, was among those scheduled to participate in reading activities at the Regency Administration Library, located within the North Minahasa Administration office complex.

The Head of the North Minahasa Tourism Agency, Femmy Pangkerego, remarked that fostering a passion for reading is a collective responsibility aimed at gathering information and education through diverse reading materials.

"The library's literacy collection is becoming increasingly comprehensive, which supports our daily work, particularly in the tourism sector. We have scheduled every civil servant to take turns visiting the library," said Femmy over the week.

She added that the program is designed to enrich knowledge and education while stimulating critical thinking and creativity. Femmy expressed hope that this reading initiative would inspire all parties, especially children.

A culture of reading must be introduced to all family members and the surrounding community. Through the availability of various types of reading materials, it is hoped that public literacy interests will continue to grow. (Annaila Azzahra/Bambang MBKA)
