Operation Damai Cartenz Blends Security Patrols with Humanitarian Touch

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Personnel from Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 are blending security patrols with a humanitarian touch in the Sinak Subdistrict of Central Papua. On Tuesday, January 21, 2026, officers from the National Police Mobile Brigade Corps provided free healthcare services alongside patrols to maintain public order and security.

The Head of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026, Brig. Gen. Faizal Ramadhani, emphasized that a humanistic approach is the cornerstone of building sustainable peace. He conveyed that community security and welfare must advance in tandem.

"The presence of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 is defined not only by security patrols but also by a humanitarian spirit. When the National Police act with heart, serving and listening, that is where peace begins to take root," he said, as quoted by the National Police Public Relations Division on Friday, January 23, 2026.

He added that healthcare services and dialogue-based patrols are integral to building community trust. These efforts also aim to foster a harmonious relationship between the police and local residents.

The initiative was warmly received by residents of Sinak Subdistrict. Yulius Murib, a prominent local community leader, expressed that the presence of the task force has brought a sense of tranquility and hope.

“The police have approached us with kindness. They checked our health, spoke with us, and maintained the safety of our village. We feel cared for and not alone. This makes us feel calmer and more at peace,” he remarked.

Task force personnel visited homes and local gathering points throughout the subdistrict. Equipped with basic medical supplies, they conducted check-ups, distributed medicine, and provided fundamental health education.

Residents, ranging from children to the elderly, engaged enthusiastically with the officers, who maintained a friendly and approachable demeanor. Alongside medical services, the public order and security patrols were conducted through casual conversation.
