RRI.CO.ID, Klaten – Klaten Station is an active, historic train station located in Klaten Regency, Central Java. Situated at an elevation of +151 meters above sea level, the station is operated by Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI).

The station's origins date back to the late 19th century during the Dutch colonial era in Indonesia. Originally built by the private company Nederlandsch-Indische Spoorweg Maatschappij (NIS, "Netherlands Indies Railway Company"), the station was officially opened to the public on March 27, 1871.

The station features six train tracks alongside three passenger platforms to serve daily rail traffic. The facilities comfortably accommodate both intercity long-distance trains and KAI Commuter's Yogyakarta Line, a commuter rail line passing through the Yogyakarta-Surakarta corridor operated by KAI's subsidiary.

One of the station's distinct features is its blend of original colonial architecture with modern passenger amenities. Furthermore, Klaten Railway Station serves as an active stop for the electric commuter line, making it a vital transit point for daily commuters.

Visitors arriving at the station can easily explore iconic nearby tourist destinations, such as Rawa Pening Lake. Additionally, travelers looking for local cultural experiences can easily reach the bustling Klaten town square located nearby.

Travelers can walk a short distance to access regional intercity bus services. The Ir. Soekarno Bus Terminal is located just south of the station

Klaten Station bridges Central Java's rich historical heritage with the demands of modern regional transport. It remains an essential gateway for both local daily commuters and tourists exploring the region.
