RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Indonesia's national flag carrier, Garuda Indonesia, continues to reinforce its service transformation by optimizing its Inflight Entertainment (IFE). The airline introduces over 100 new titles with every refresh cycle.

This update includes everything from the newest movies to modern music choices. With these additions, the total collection now features over 300 entertainment options for passengers to enjoy.

For the October–November 2026 period, the newest lineup features standout films such as One Battle After Another, Supergirl, and The Bride, alongside an extensive variety of television series, podcasts, and musical tracks by both domestic and international artists. The musical lineup includes works by KIM, Pee Wee Gaskins, Abdul & The Coffee Theory, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, and Kacey Musgraves, among others.

Vice President Director of Garuda Indonesia, Thomas Oentoro, stated, "We build Garuda Indonesia's transformation through service enhancements that stay closer to what our passengers need. Faster content updates and expanded entertainment access are part of that effort."

Thomas further explained that this IFE optimization forms part of the company's continuous initiative to ensure in-flight facilities evolve alongside passenger preferences. By regularly refreshing movies, series, podcasts, and music, Garuda Indonesia grants passengers the freedom to spend their time in the air according to their personal tastes.

"Every passenger has their own way of enjoying a flight. That's why we continue to expand our content choices as well as ease of access, whether through seatback screens or personal devices," Thomas said.

Beyond seatback entertainment, Garuda Indonesia is steadily expanding its Wireless IFE service, which is now accessible on at least 14 aircraft, including the Boeing 737-800NG, Boeing 737-8 MAX, and Airbus A330-900neo. Based on the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) concept introduced in 2024, this service enables passengers to stream entertainment directly on personal devices such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops.

This expansion of Wireless IFE perfectly complements the traditional seatback entertainment system, with available facilities and content tailored to the specific aircraft type in operation. Ultimately, this dual-channel optimization highlights Garuda Indonesia's dedication to delivering entertainment services that remain completely relevant to modern digital habits and travel preferences.
