RRI.CO.ID, Singaraja - Lovina Festival 2026 officially opened at Lovina Beach in Buleleng Regency on Friday, 24 July 2026. Carrying the theme "Theatre of Dolphins," this year's festival highlights cross-regional collaboration and the involvement of various community groups as part of efforts to strengthen the tourism appeal of North Bali.

The festival was officially inaugurated with the traditional striking of the cengceng (Balinese cymbals) on the main stage at Lovina Beach. In his opening remarks, Buleleng Regent I Nyoman Sutjidra said that Lovina Festival has evolved into a platform for showcasing Buleleng's cultural, artistic, and tourism potential to visitors.

"We invite all tourism stakeholders in the Lovina area to continue strengthening collaboration and synergy. Without the support of the tourism industry, the Lovina Festival would not be possible," Sutjidra said.

According to him, this year's promotional campaign was carried out through a collaboration between the Buleleng Tourism Office and tourism offices from all regencies and municipalities across Bali, as well as Banyuwangi Regency.

In addition, various community groups—including artists, photographers, runners' clubs, and performers of the traditional sampi gerumbungan (decorated buffalo parade)—have been involved in the festival's series of events.

The Buleleng Regency Government has also begun collecting visitor data based on categories such as local MSMEs and industry stakeholders to better understand visitor numbers and tourists' length of stay. The data is expected to serve as a basis for developing more targeted and evidence-based tourism policies.

Lovina Festival 2026 will run for five days, featuring a wide range of cultural performances, art exhibitions, sporting events, and MSME showcases across the Lovina area.
