RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s national team captain Kevin Diks has confirmed he is “100 percent ready” to face Thailand in the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 final. He made the statement during a pre‑match press conference at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Main Stadium, Jakarta, on Sunday, October 4, 2026.

The 29‑year‑old Borussia Mönchengladbach defender admitted he had experienced physical issues after a string of matches in quick succession. “When you play so many games in a short time, you sometimes face physical difficulties,” Diks said.

Despite the setback, he assured fans of his fitness for the decisive clash. “I went through one of those difficulties, but I’ll be fine. I think I’ll be 100 percent ready,” he emphasized.

Diks also expressed pride in Indonesia’s achievement of reaching the final, acknowledging the challenge ahead but insisting the team has a real chance. “The final will be tough. But it’s one game, and anything can happen,” he noted.

The Maluku‑born captain said he has strong faith in his teammates as they prepare to battle Thailand for the ASEAN Cup trophy. “I have a lot of confidence in my teammates,” he said.

Indonesia will meet Thailand in the final at GBK Main Stadium on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 8 p.m. local time. The Garuda squad advanced after a commanding 9‑2 victory over Bangladesh on October 1, finishing top of Group A with seven points and 11 goals. (Diffa Sephiawardhani)
