Aichi-Nagoya Games End, Indonesia Wins Five Golds

RRI.CO.ID, Nagoya - Indonesia won five gold medals as the Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 officially concluded in Nagoya, Japan. The closing ceremony took place at Paloma Mizuho Stadium on Sunday, October 4, 2026.
Indonesia exceeded its initial target of four gold medals at the continental sporting event. The Indonesian contingent finished with 39 medals, comprising five golds, 11 silvers, and 23 bronzes.
The medal total placed Indonesia 16th in the final Asian Games standings. China topped the rankings, followed by host Japan in second and Thailand in third.
The closing ceremony began at 6 p.m. local time with a series of Japanese cultural performances. The event also featured Kimigayo, Japan's national anthem, before participating nations entered the field.
Tennis athlete Meydiana Laviola Reinnamah carried the Indonesian flag during the closing ceremony. She wore a red silk kebaya featuring Prada Bali motifs created by Indonesian designer Ghea Panggabean.
The kebaya was developed with Ghea Fashion Studio, Sarinah Indonesia, Mills, and Team Indonesia. Meydiana paired the outfit with a white Balinese songket woven sarong for the ceremony.
Indonesia also sent 52 athletes and officials from five sports to join the closing parade. The delegation represented judo, hockey, tennis, archery, and wrestling, alongside five headquarters team members.
The Indonesian delegation wore white closing-parade tracksuits featuring Limar Palembang motifs during the ceremony. The hosting baton was then handed to Doha, Qatar, which will host the Asian Games 2030.
