RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia added four medals to its 2026 Asian Games tally on Saturday, October 3, 2026, securing three silver medals in sepak takraw, beach volleyball and padel, along with a bronze in women’s padel, bringing the country’s total to 39 medals.
The three silver medals came from Indonesian men’s sepak takraw quadrant team, men’s beach volleyball pair Bintang Akbar/Sofyan Rachman Efendi, and women’s padel pair Fitriani Sabatini/Fadona Kusumawati.
Indonesia’s men’s sepak takraw quadrant team claimed silver after losing to hosts Japan in a three-set final, 15-17, 15-9, 13-15, Antara reported.
The men’s beach volleyball pair Bintang Akbar/Sofyan Rachman Efendi also secured silver after a hard-fought final against Qatar’s Cherif Samba/Ahmed Janko at Hekinan Ryokuchi Beach Court in Hekinan. The match went to three sets, with Indonesia losing 1-2 (21-19, 16-21, 8-15).

Indonesia’s third silver medal came from women’s padel pair Fitriani Sabatini/Fadona Kusumawati, who lost to Japan’s Saki Tsukamoto/Kae Tokumoto in the final at Nagoya City Higashi Sport Center.
Indonesia also secured bronze in women’s padel through Beatrice Gumulya/Novela Putria. The Indonesian pair defeated the Philippines’ Danna Abad/Joshea Malazarte 6-0, 6-0 at Nagoya City Higashi Sport Center to claim third place.
The four additional medals brought Indonesia’s provisional tally at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games to five golds, 11 silvers and 23 bronzes, for a total of 39 medals. ***
