RRI.CO.ID, Tahara - Indonesian surfer, I Made Pajar Ariyana won the silver medal in the men’s shortboard event at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games. His achievement marks a proud milestone for the nation's surfing contingent on the international multi-sport stage.
Pajar finished second after facing Japan’s Kanoa Igarashi in the final at Pacific Long Beach, Tahara, Aichi, Japan, on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. Both athletes displayed exceptional wave-riding skills throughout the tense championship heat.
In the gold medal final, Pajar recorded a total score of 10.40 against his opponent's performance. Meanwhile, Kanoa Igarashi scored 12.87 to secure the gold medal for the host nation.
