Prabowo Urges 432 Indonesian Athletes to Give Their Best at 2026 Asian Games

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto has officially sent off the Indonesian contingent competing at the 2026 Asian Games in Japan. Prabowo urged all athletes to give their best and demonstrate a strong fighting spirit to bring pride to Indonesia on the international stage.

The President said being selected as part of the Indonesian contingent was a great honor. Of the hundreds of millions of Indonesians, only 432 athletes qualified and were entrusted to represent the country at the event.

He urged the athletes to make the most of the opportunity by competing with determination and giving their best performance. He said the selected athletes had worked hard to reach this level.

“This means that to reach this level, you have all worked very hard. So, I congratulate you. Have a safe journey, represent your country and nation with pride, and fight your hardest. Give your best for your country,” Prabowo said at the State Palace in Jakarta, Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

Prabowo also emphasized the importance of demonstrating character and a strong fighting spirit as Indonesian athletes throughout the competition. He urged them to show resilience and never give up in the face of tough competition.

“Give your best. Represent our nation and show that Indonesian athletes are strong, determined, and never give up,” he stressed.

Prabowo expressed hope that the efforts of the 432 Indonesian athletes would produce the best possible results and bring pride to the country on the international stage. He also prayed that all the athletes would be given strength throughout their participation in the 2026 Asian Games.
