RRI.CO.ID, Bali – Indonesian tennis player Anthony Susanto advanced to the semifinals of the Universal Tennis Rating Pro Tennis Tour (UTR PTT) Amman Men’s World Championship 2026 in Bali after sweeping all four matches in Group A without defeat.
Competing at Bali Beach Country Club, Nusa Dua, the 29‑year‑old sealed his place in the last four after defeating India’s Aarjun Pandit 6‑2, 6‑3 in his final group match on Friday, August 21.
Susanto dominated the first set, dropping only two games, and maintained composure in the second by breaking Pandit’s serve twice to close out the match in one hour and 29 minutes.
“Good preparation and staying focused in every situation--whether leading or trailing--are the keys to winning each battle,” Susanto said in a written statement, as quoted by Antara, adding that reaching the semifinals provided motivation and a strong foundation for upcoming M‑15 series tournaments.
As Group A winner, Susanto will face Group C champion Alexander Chang in Saturday’s semifinal. The other semifinal will feature Group D’s Azuma Visaya against Group B’s Matthieu Perchicot.
Elsewhere, fellow Indonesian Renaldi Aquila Salim fell short in Group D after losing to Singapore’s Maximus Zavier Wong, finishing fourth in the standings. Wong placed third, while Ethan David Zapp ended in fifth. ***
