RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian national team is set for two international friendlies during the June 2026 FIFA Matchday, with matches against Oman and Mozambique scheduled in Jakarta.

These fixtures form a crucial part of Indonesia’s preparations for upcoming international tournaments, serving both to sharpen performance and evaluate squad depth.

The first match will be played on June 5, 2026, at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium against Oman, a team known for disciplined play and solid defense.

Four days later, on June 9, Indonesia will return to the same venue to take on Mozambique, whose fast-paced style and physical strength are expected to pose a different challenge.

A vibrant atmosphere is anticipated at Gelora Bung Karno, with home supporters expected to provide strong motivation for the Garuda squad.

Head coach John Herdman has called up 44 players for a training camp beginning in late May, aiming to build team chemistry and test new strategies and player combinations.

From a FIFA ranking perspective, Oman currently sits at No. 79 with 1,313.46 points, while Mozambique is ranked No. 101 with 1,224.31 points. Indonesia enters the friendlies ranked No. 122 with 1,144.88 points. Despite their status as friendlies, both matches are expected to be competitive.
