RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian women’s national cycling squad proved the strongest in Southeast Asia at the Tour of Thailand 2026, finishing third overall in the team classification.

The three-stage race, held from March 31 to April 2, saw Indonesia place behind China’s Li Ning Star Ladies, who claimed the championship, and Thailand’s GNC-Fnix Girl Power Cycling in second.

Final results showed Indonesia and GNC-Fnix both trailing the winners by 18 seconds, with Li Ning Star Ladies recording a total time of 21 hours, 40 minutes, and 27 seconds.

“The struggle never betrays the result. Thank you Team Road Race Women for your dedication and hard work at the Tour of Thailand 2026," the Indonesian Cycling Federation (ICF) said in its official statement on Thursday, April 2, as quoted by Antara.

"A sweet result has been achieved: third place overall and best ASEAN team. We are proud, and this journey continues,” it added.

Indonesia’s performance was anchored by five riders: Ayustina Delia Priatna, Ida Ayu Manik Laksmi Dewi, Dewika Mula Sova, Syahla Syafiah, and Nihayatuzzain Asshofi.

Ayustina delivered the best individual finish for Indonesia, placing 12th overall, just 27 seconds behind yellow jersey winner Valeriya Zakharkina of GNC-Fnix. Ida Ayu ranked 14th, Dewika 37th, Syahla 56th, and Nihayatuzzain 78th.

In the Southeast Asian standings, Indonesia outpaced Malaysia by 43 seconds, followed by Vietnam, Thailand, and Singapore.

The Tour of Thailand is part of Indonesia’s broader international program this season, following appearances at the Biwase Tour of Vietnam and Biwase Cup 2026, designed to build experience and competitiveness ahead of the Asian Games in September. ***
