RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia’s para judo team closed the 2025 ASEAN Para Games in Thailand as overall champions after securing three additional gold medals on the final day of competition in Nakhon Ratchasima on Saturday, January 24, 2026.

According to the event organizers, the gold medals were won by Fajar Pambudi in the men’s J1/J2 95-kilogram category, Yovan Rate Aziz in the men’s J2 64-kilogram division, and Siyamsih in the women’s J1/J2 60-kilogram event.

Indonesia also added one silver and one bronze medal on the final day. Selamat Juanda claimed silver in the men’s J1/J2 95-kilogram category after losing to his compatriot Fajar, while Dheny Marsyelina secured bronze in the women’s J1/J2 60-kilogram division.

The three golds, along with one silver and one bronze, brought Indonesia’s para judo medal tally to seven gold, three silver, and one bronze, confirming the team as overall judo champions at the Games.

The achievement repeated Indonesia’s success at the 2023 edition, when the country also topped the para judo standings with 11 gold and five silver medals.

As of 7 p.m. Jakarta time on Saturday, Indonesia stood second in the provisional medal table with a total of 95 gold, 99 silver, and 85 bronze medals. Contributions from para judo played a key role in strengthening the Red and White Team’s position in the standings.

Indonesia remains behind host nation Thailand, which leads the medal table with 138 gold, 129 silver and 109 bronze medals.

In terms of gold medal contributions, para judo ranks as Indonesia’s fourth-most successful sport at the Games, following weightlifting with eight gold medals, swimming with 22 gold medals, and athletics with 33 gold medals. ***
