Minister Sjafrie Attends Closing Ceremony of the Basic Military Training for ASN

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Indonesia’s Minister of Defense, Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, attended the closing ceremony of the Basic Military Training for the Reserve Component (Komcad) specifically for Civil Servants (ASN) from various ministries and agencies (Batch II) 2026. It took place at the taxiway of Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, on Tuesday September 29, 2026.

The closing ceremony was presided over by the Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Tito Karnavian, acting as the Ceremony Inspector. In his remarks, the Minister of Home Affairs explained that the Reserve Component constitutes a national resource prepared for deployment via mobilization to expand and strengthen the power and capabilities of the Main Component.

The utilization of the Reserve Component is carried out solely in accordance with the mobilization mechanisms established by law and regulation. "Outside of those mechanisms, you continue to perform your primary duties as Civil Servants within your respective agencies," the Minister stated as quoted from kemhan.go.id.

In line with this, the Minister expressed his hope that the training outcomes would yield tangible added value: shaping a workforce that is more disciplined and resilient, capable of working under pressure, cognizant of the importance of coordination, and committed to acting within the bounds of the law and their respective authorities.

Furthermore, the Minister affirmed several key points to the participants, Firstly, maintaining readiness and capabilities, Secondly, returning to your agencies as increasingly professional Civil Servants, Thirdly, acting as drivers of collaboration and organizational preparedness, Fourthly, upholding unity and maintain discipline regarding information.

The closing ceremony for the Batch II (FY 2026) Reserve Component Basic Military Training for Civil Servants concluded with a paramotor demonstration, a marching band performance, and a troop parade. Following the conclusion of the ceremonies, the Minister of Home Affairs stated in a press briefing that the Basic Military Training for Civil Servant Reserve Components represents a tangible implementation of the constitutional mandate affirming the rights and obligations of every citizen regarding national defense.

In addition, the Minister explained that the training is not intended to militarize civil servants, but rather to instil positive values derived from the military environment, such as discipline, integrity, punctuality, resilience, loyalty to the state, and teamwork capabilities.
