RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto delivered a speech at the 2026 Annual Session of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) and the Joint Session of the House of Representatives (DPR) and Regional Representative Council (DPD) on Friday, August 14, 2026.
In his address, the President outlined several government achievements. He noted that his administration has implemented 121 transformative policies over 21 months to tackle long‑standing national problems.
“In 21 months, precisely 663 days, the government I lead has decided and carried out 121 transformative policies to resolve state issues. Some of these problems have remained unsolved for decades,” he said at the Parliament Complex in Jakarta.
He explained that the government has worked under four guiding principles since the start of his presidency.
First, upholding the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. Second, safeguarding core and vital national interests, including managing the nation’s wealth for the prosperity of all citizens.
"Third, we address the people’s hardships as swiftly as possible. Fourth, we are always oriented toward the interests of the people and the interests of their children and grandchildren," he stated.
President Prabowo acknowledged that not all national challenges have been resolved, and not all promises fulfilled. However, he emphasized that progress has been made on issues once considered intractable, achieved through decisive leadership and hard work.
“With determination, a clear orientation toward the people, and the spirit of mutual cooperation, problems deemed unsolvable for decades can now begin to be addressed,” he said.
He underscored the intensity of the administration’s efforts, noting that ministers and aides have worked tirelessly, some to the point of exhaustion requiring hospitalization. “Several of my ministers collapsed, some underwent surgery, many were simply worn out,” he remarked.
The President stressed that serving the people is both an honor and a duty. “We will work as hard as possible. We will give everything for the people and our nation,” he concluded. (Misni Parjiati)
