65th Scout Day Marks Renewed Commitment to Indonesia 2045

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – Indonesia commemorates Scout Day, known as Hari Pramuka, every August 14. In 2026, the occasion marks the 65th anniversary of the Scout Movement and serves as an opportunity to strengthen its role in shaping young Indonesians as part of the country’s journey toward Golden Indonesia 2045.

The National Scout Movement (Kwartir Nasional Gerakan Pramuka), officially launched the logo for the 65th Scout Day on April 17, 2026. The logo represents the Scout Movement as a resilient, adaptive, and environmentally conscious organization that is ready to respond to future challenges.

Visually, the number “65” in the logo features curved lines resembling flowing water and wings in motion. These elements symbolize flexibility, dynamism, and the progressive spirit of the Scout Movement as it continues to adapt to changing times while maintaining its core values.

The logo also incorporates several distinctive elements of the Scout Movement. The coconut palm shoot, the organization’s main symbol, represents Scouts as the nation’s young generation who are resilient, useful to others, and capable of growing and adapting in different circumstances. Meanwhile, the World Scout emblem emphasizes Indonesia’s place within the global Scouting community.

The colors used in the logo further reinforce its message. Red and white represent courage, purity, and Indonesian national identity, while gold symbolizes glory, dignity, and optimism toward Golden Indonesia 2045. The turquoise-green color represents freshness, renewal, and concern for the environment.

The 65th Scout Day in 2026 carries the theme “Strengthening the Organization’s Steps to Support Food Self-Sufficiency toward Golden Indonesia 2045.” The theme highlights the Scout Movement’s commitment to transforming itself into a modern and professional organization while contributing to national development and community service.

The theme also emphasizes the importance of food self-sufficiency as part of the movement’s contribution to strengthening national food security. Through various community-based activities, Scouts can take part in initiatives related to agriculture, food production, environmental conservation, and public awareness.

Beyond its contribution to national development, Scouting continues to play an important role in character education. Activities such as camping, skills training, social programs, exploration, and environmental initiatives provide young people with opportunities to develop discipline, independence, responsibility, teamwork, and concern for others.

As Indonesia moves toward its 2045 national vision, the Scout Movement is expected to continue providing a platform for young people to develop their skills and character while contributing positively to society.
