RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Indonesian government reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the synergy of fiscal and monetary policies with Bank Indonesia (BI) to maintain national economic stability while sustaining growth momentum amid global economic uncertainty.

The Head of the Government Communication Agency (Bakom) of the Republic of Indonesia, Muhammad Qodari, conveyed this commitment in Jakarta on Monday, August 3, 2026. According to him, close coordination between the government and Bank Indonesia is an important factor so that fiscal and monetary policies can support each other in responding to various global economic challenges.

"Close synergy with Bank Indonesia as the monetary authority is needed so that fiscal and monetary policies can mutually reinforce each other in facing global dynamics," Qodari said.

In addition to maintaining economic stability, the government also prioritizes strengthening micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This step is taken thru the expansion of financing access, strengthening competitiveness, and increasing access to both domestic and export markets so that MSMEs can develop and upgrade their status.

The government is also continuing to accelerate digital transformation thru the development of a secure, fast, and efficient digital economic and financial transaction ecosystem. These efforts are expected to increase community productivity, strengthen the competitiveness of MSMEs, and expand economic and financial inclusion in various regions.

Qodari said that digital payment transactions in Indonesia continue to show strong growth, reflecting the increasing utilization of digital technology by the community and business actors. According to him, cross-sector collaboration is an important factor in strengthening national economic resilience while maintaining sustainable economic growth.

"The spirit of collaboration is the important capital to realize a resilient, inclusive, and competitive economy toward Golden Indonesia 2045," he explained.

The government assesses that strengthening the synergy of fiscal and monetary policies, empowering MSMEs, and accelerating digital transformation will be part of the national strategy to bolster Indonesia's economic resilience amid global economic dynamics.
