RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia's Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA), Arifah Fauzi, has reaffirmed the importance of strengthening child protection and ensuring the fulfillment of children's rights as a key foundation for achieving Indonesia's Golden Indonesia 2045 vision. She stressed that every Indonesian child deserves equal opportunities to grow, develop, and pursue their aspirations without discrimination.

The statement was delivered during the Jelajah SAPA program at the Cahaya Batin Social Rehabilitation Center for the Visually Impaired (PSBN) in East Jakarta on Sunday July 19, ahead of the 2026 National Children's Day commemoration on July 23. The initiative forms part of the ministry's efforts to expand public services, education, and awareness campaigns on children's rights.

Arifah said National Children's Day provides an important opportunity to strengthen the commitment of all stakeholders to protect and fulfill the rights of every child, including children with disabilities. She emphasized that effective child protection can only be achieved through collaboration among the government, the private sector, communities, and families.

"As we approach National Children's Day on July 23, let us use this moment to deepen our commitment to loving, protecting, and fulfilling the rights of every child. Children are the nation's future, and we must support them in achieving their dreams," Arifah said.

She added that through the Jelajah SAPA program, the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection continues to strengthen cross-sector collaboration to create safe, inclusive, and child-friendly environments. The initiative also serves as a platform to educate the public about the importance of safeguarding children's rights in all aspects of life.

To support children's growth and development, the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries donated 200 kilograms of fresh fish to children at the Cahaya Batin rehabilitation center. The assistance was provided through the Gemarikan (National Fish Consumption Campaign), which promotes the consumption of nutritious, high-quality protein among children.

Arifah also called on all sectors of society to work together in creating a caring and supportive environment where every Indonesian child can thrive. "Every Indonesian child, including children with disabilities, has the same right to dream and achieve their aspirations. Therefore, I invite all stakeholders to work hand in hand to create a safe, inclusive, and compassionate environment so that every child can grow and develop to their fullest potential," she said.

The government hopes that stronger child protection measures and closer collaboration among stakeholders will help raise a healthy, high-quality, and globally competitive generation. Such efforts are considered essential to realizing the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045 by ensuring that every child can grow, participate, and live free from all forms of violence.
