A Total of 321 Foreigners Linked to Online Gambling Transferred to Immigration

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – A total of 321 foreign nationals involved in online gambling operations were transferred to various immigration offices on Sunday, May 10, 2026. The relocation follows the recent uncovering of an international online gambling syndicate in West Jakarta.

The Head of the Public Information Bureau of the National Police Public Relations Division, Brig. Gen. Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, conveyed that the transfer is a critical component of the ongoing investigation. He emphasized that the process is being conducted through cross-agency coordination to ensure comprehensive legal handling.

"Today, 321 foreign nationals were moved to several immigration examination sites for further processing," he said in a written statement released in Jakarta on Sunday.

As part of the procedure, 150 individuals were moved to the Immigration Detention Center, while another 150 were transferred to the Central Directorate of Immigration for in-depth questioning. Additionally, 21 foreign nationals were sent to the West Jakarta Immigration Office to expedite the screening process for all suspects previously apprehended.

Brig. Gen. Trunoyudo explained that these steps are part of an integrated law enforcement effort. The case management involves continuous coordination with immigration authorities and other relevant agencies.

"This process remains ongoing and simultaneous, including our active coordination with immigration officials. These measures are being taken to facilitate the continued investigation of all suspects," he added.

Previously, the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) dismantled an international online gambling network operating in West Jakarta. During the operation, authorities detained 321 foreign nationals from various countries.

The suspects were found to be operating an organized online gambling business utilizing various electronic devices and websites. Investigators are currently expanding their inquiries to fully map out and dismantle the international syndicate. (Annaila Azzahra/EN)
