RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Music group No Na has released its latest single, "Star,” as the opening track of their debut album, Island Girl. The song was officially released on Friday, September 18, 2026, blending modern pop with elements of Indonesian identity.
“Star” centers on the theme of young women’s confidence in navigating life, portraying a female figure who dares to show her character without relying on others’ validation.
Musically, “Star” features English-language lyrics infused with references to Indonesian culture, including the phrase “terang bulan” (Indonesian folded pancakes) and traditional gamelan elements.
The visual concept for “Star” also evokes Indonesia’s natural atmosphere and tropical landscapes, reinforcing the Island Girl concept that defines No Na’s musical journey.
Through the song, No Na depicts the Jakarta woman as free and independent, pairing that character with a light pop approach aimed at listeners from diverse backgrounds.
