RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Crocs is turning everyday Indonesian culture into wearable art. To mark Indonesia’s Independence Day, the footwear brand has unveiled a special collection of 12 jibbitz charms inspired by local food icons and familiar expressions, blending playful design with cultural storytelling.
Five charms spotlight beloved culinary favorites such as West Java's batagor and Bali's sate lilit, representing the diverse flavors and traditions of Indonesia’s regions.
Six others capture colloquial phrases like Barudak Well, Cemana Wak, Goks, GAS!, Mantul, and Klee Nok,drawn from everyday language across Java, Bali, Sumatra, and Jakarta.
The collection reflects how food and language serve as cultural touchstones, transforming into colorful accessories that celebrate identity and heritage.
“These elements show how everyday life can become part of cultural representation,” Crocs noted in its release, MOnday, August 10, 2026, as quoted by Antara.
Produced in collaboration with local and international partners, the charms embody a lighthearted, creative spirit while honoring Indonesia’s diversity.
