RRI.CO.ID, Probolinggo - The scenic highlands of Mount Bromo are once again serving as the stage for Jazz Gunung Bromo 2026, which officially kicks off today, July 24, and runs through July 25 at the Jiwa Jawa Resort Amphitheater in Sukapura, Probolinggo Regency, East Java.

Marking its 18th consecutive year, the annual high-altitude festival, co-hosted by Jazz Gunung Indonesia, the Ministry of Tourism, and the Probolinggo Regency Administration continues to merge live musical performances, natural landscapes, and local economic empowerment under a sustainable tourism model.

Over its two-day run, the open-air festival features a diverse lineup of national and international artists, including Isyana Sarasvati, Bilal Indrajaya, Indra Lesmana LLW, Ali, Batavia Collective, Littlefingers, and the Kevin Yosua Big 6. International and cross-genre collaborations also take center stage, featuring the Ring of Fire Project alongside Sri Hanuraga and Italian musician Simone Prattico, as well as Plutato featuring Taiwan’s Cait Lin.

In addition to the main stage, the festival grounds host an MSME bazaar showcasing regional culinary specialties, local coffee, handicrafts, and sustainable fashion products, giving micro-entrepreneurs direct access to thousands of visitors.

Continuing its environmental commitment after earning the Green Event of The Year title at the Wonderful Indonesia Awards 2025, Jazz Gunung Bromo 2026 incorporates eco-friendly infrastructure, including water refill stations, stage decorations constructed from bamboo and recycled materials, and active involvement of local mountain communities in festival operations.

Organizers hope the event will inspire concertgoers to explore adjacent destinations across the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park area, such as the Wonokitri Edelweiss Tourism Village, Coban Trisula Waterfall, and white-water rafting along the Pekalen River.

Festival organizers emphasize that the event has evolved beyond a music concert into a vital driver for regional economic growth and cultural tourism in East Java. Founder of Jazz Gunung Indonesia, Sigit Pramono, highlighted the broader socio-economic impact of the long-running festival.
