RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia's Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has officially opened student admissions for the 2026/2027 academic year at the newly established Integrated National Schools (SNT), expanding access to quality education across multiple regions. The admissions program targets prospective seventh-grade junior secondary and tenth-grade senior secondary students in 17 locations nationwide.

Registration opened on July 21 and will run through July 27 via the official SNT admissions portal. In a statement, in Jakarta, Thursday, July 23, 2026, Director General of Early Childhood, Primary, and Nonformal Education, Gogot Suharwoto, encouraged students and parents to complete their applications before the deadline.

"We encourage prospective students and parents in the 17 SNT locations to make the most of this opportunity. Prepare all required documents and submit your application through the official portal before July 27, 2026," Gogot said.

The Integrated National Schools will operate in 17 regions, including Bogor, Cianjur, Gowa, Bone Bolango, Tidore Islands, Indonesia's new capital Nusantara, Banyumas, Jepara, Subulussalam, Tarakan, Donggala, Bolaang Mongondow, North Minahasa, Kupang, Central Buton, Tebo, and East Tanjung Jabung. Priority will be given to applicants residing in the same district or municipality as the school, while high-achieving students from neighboring areas may also be considered based on available capacity.

All applications must be submitted online through the ministry's admissions portal, where applicants can access eligibility requirements, registration procedures, and the selection schedule. Required documents include a family card, birth certificate, National Student Identification Number (NISN), graduation certificate or temporary graduation letter, academic transcripts from the previous five semesters, Academic Ability Test certificate, parents' identification, passport-sized photograph, and a parental declaration.

Applicants with academic or non-academic achievements are encouraged to submit supporting certificates as part of their application. Families eligible for government social protection programs may also include supporting documents to qualify for affirmative admission consideration based on economic circumstances.

The admission process consists of five stages: announcement and public outreach from July 21 - 24, registration from July 21 - 27, selection from July 27 - 31, announcement of successful applicants on August 3, and re-registration from August 4 - 7. Candidates will be assessed through administrative screening and a Scholastic Test measuring verbal reasoning, numerical ability, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.

The ministry has also called on regional governments and local education offices to help disseminate information and assist applicants facing difficulties with internet access or document preparation. Students admitted this year will retain their status as Integrated National School students even if classes initially begin at temporary facilities before moving to permanent campuses prepared by local governments.
