RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta: The Ministry of Industry is once again organizing the Industrial Festival 2026 as a platform for education, collaboration, and exploration of the industrial sector, presented in a creative and youth-oriented format. Under the theme “Start Your Journey,” the event aims to encourage young people to take an active role as future industry professionals, innovators, and entrepreneurs.

Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said the Industrial Festival is part of the Ministry of Industry’s commitment to building optimism among young people about the future of Indonesia’s industry, which is becoming increasingly adaptive, modern, and globally competitive.

“The Industrial Festival is not merely an event. It provides a space for young people to explore various opportunities and see firsthand the transformation taking place across the industrial sector. We want Indonesia’s youth to have the courage to start their journey in a national industrial sector that is becoming increasingly innovative, green, and technology-driven,” the Industry Minister said in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday, 17 September 2026.

According to Agus, Indonesia’s manufacturing sector continues to demonstrate strong resilience amid global developments. This requires creative and adaptive human resources with the ability to respond to technological disruption and sustainability challenges.

“Young people must be part of the transformation of Indonesia’s industry. They should not only be technology users, but also solution providers and innovations for the industry of the future,” he stressed.

Industrial Festival 2026 will feature a range of activities, including inspiring talk shows, community engagement sessions, coaching sessions, on-site public services, a career and networking corner, and a content creation competition.

This year, the Industrial Festival will also collaborate with two major national events: Halal Indo 2026, scheduled for 24–27 September 2026, at ICE BSD in Tangerang, and the 2026 National Batik Day celebrations in Surabaya.

Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry Eko S.A. Cahyanto said the Industrial Festival serves as a strategic platform for strengthening the ministry’s public communication while providing the public, particularly young people, with a closer look at Indonesia’s industrial ecosystem.

“Through the Industrial Festival, we want to raise awareness that the manufacturing sector offers broad career opportunities, rapidly advancing innovation, and a significant contribution to the national economy. That is why communication with young people needs to be carried out in creative, inclusive, and interactive ways,” Eko said.

In addition to providing education on the development of future industries, the festival will strengthen collaboration among the government, industry, communities, academia, and the media. The Ministry of Industry will also provide public services directly at the event venues as part of its efforts to bring government services closer to the public.
