RRI.CO.ID, Tangerang - The development of air mobility in Indonesia is expected to open new opportunities for creative‑economy talent.
Indonesian Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, expressed appreciation for Whitesky Group’s efforts to build an air mobility ecosystem through technological innovation. Whitesky Group is an Indonesian private aviation company specializing in helicopter services and advanced air mobility (AAM).
“Advances in air mobility technology show that innovation can open new avenues for the creative economy. Within this industry, there are opportunities for talented individuals to develop creativity, design, products, services, and experiences that provide added value to the public,” Minister Riefky said while attending and closing Whitesky Group’s Heli City 16th Anniversary event at Cengkareng Heliport in Tangerang, Banten, on Sunday, August 23, 2026, as quoted on the Ministry’s official website.
He noted that the development of new technologies requires cross‑sector collaboration. Such collaboration is essential for transportation innovations to evolve into an ecosystem that delivers broader economic benefits.
“Technology and creativity must go together. We view the development of AAM not only as progress in transportation technology but also as a collaborative space that can involve talent and players in the creative economy,” Minister Riefky said.
Whitesky Group’s Heli City 16th Anniversary took place on August 21–23and focused on AAM and electric Vertical Take‑Off and Landing (eVTOL). The event series also featured “Road to Zero Carbon Helicopters 2026,” which discussed technological innovation and the readiness of a sustainable air transportation ecosystem.
AAM development in Indonesia includes exploring eVTOL technology, strengthening infrastructure, and building a supporting ecosystem. Whitesky Group has also established partnerships with several eVTOL technology developers to promote a new generation of air mobility in Indonesia.
The Ministry of Creative Economy continues to encourage cross‑sector collaboration to create opportunities for creative‑economy talent to participate in developing new technologies and industries. These efforts strengthen the creative‑economy ecosystem through talent development, innovation, and value creation across sectors. ***
