2026 Road to “Harbolnas” Launched, Govt Encourages Indonesian MSMEs Go Global

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – The Indonesian government has officially launched the Road to National Online Shopping Day (Harbolnas) 2026 to strengthen the position of local products in the digital market. This initiative marks a significant milestone in introducing the works of Indonesian MSMEs to the international stage.

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, inaugurated the event in Jakarta on Thursday, August 27, 2026. This year’s Harbolnas is scheduled to take place from December 10 to 16, 2026.

The government aims for the transaction value of Harbolnas 2026 to reach Rp40 trillion or US$2.56 billion. This figure represents a significant increase from the previous year’s achievement, which recorded transactions totaling Rp36.4 trillion or US$2.06 billion.

To achieve this target, the use of technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be optimized. In addition, the integration of export markets will be strengthened through the implementation of the Digital Economic Framework Agreement (DEFA) at the ASEAN level.

Support for cross-border payment systems is also being prepared to facilitate business operators. The Cross-Border QR Code (QRIS) facility offers high efficiency for merchants as it does not incur transaction fees.

“In 2026, Harbolnas will mark its 14th year. This event is not only an annual discount fair but also a national movement to strengthen domestic products, enhance digital inclusion, and drive equitable economic growth, the Minister said.

Spokesperson for the Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs,Haryo Limanseto, added that this event serves as an important catalyst for local MSMEs. The government has pledged to continue fostering a digital business environment that remains conducive and inclusive.
