RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - The Ministry of Trade has selected 10 Indonesian companies to participate in the Saudi Fashion & Tex Expo 2026 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from September 24 to 27, 2026. They were chosen following a selection and curation process involving 182 fashion, textile, accessories, and footwear companies from various regions across Indonesia.
The exhibition, which will take place at the Jeddah Center for Exhibition & Events, is one of the largest fashion and textile events in Saudi Arabia. It brings together manufacturers, importers, distributors, retailers, and buyers from various countries.
Indonesia’s participation is part of efforts by the Ministry of Trade, together with the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh and the Indonesian Consulate General in Jeddah, to expand export markets for Indonesian fashion and textile products in the Middle East. Participants were selected based on export readiness, product quality, and market development potential in Saudi Arabia.
The 10 companies that passed the curation process are Sarinah, Modestluxe, Crucil, Hikmat, Khanaan, Irna La Perle, Dian Pelangi, Karina Design, Intanaka, and PT Yoshi Utama. Before departing for Saudi Arabia, all participants will undergo various technical preparations to maximize business opportunities during the exhibition.
Director General of National Export Development, Fajarini Puntodewi, said the Saudi Fashion & Tex Expo 2026 is one of the initiatives aimed at expanding market access for Indonesian fashion and textile products in the Middle East. Saudi Arabia is considered a highly potential market, particularly for high-quality fashion products and modest fashion, one of Indonesia’s key strengths.
"The Directorate General of National Export Development is committed to supporting Indonesian businesses in penetrating global markets through various well-targeted trade promotion activities. We hope the participation of the 10 selected companies will open opportunities for long-term business partnerships and strengthen Indonesia's image," she said, as quoted from an official statement on Monday, August 10, 2026.
Director of Services and Creative Products Export Development Ari Satria also appreciated the strong interest shown by Indonesian businesses in taking part in the selection process. According to him, the 182 applicants reflect the growing interest among Indonesian businesses in expanding their export markets to the Middle East, particularly Saudi Arabia.
“We congratulate the 10 companies that successfully passed the selection process to represent Indonesia at the Saudi Fashion & Tex Expo 2026. We hope the participants can make the most of this event to expand their business networks, establish partnerships with prospective buyers, and increase exports of Indonesian fashion and textile products,” Ari said.
The Ministry of Trade also expressed its appreciation to companies that were not selected this year. Although not all applicants could be facilitated for this year’s event, opportunities to participate in other trade promotion activities remain open.
Indonesian Trade Attaché in Riyadh, Zulvri Yenni, said her office would continue to provide more targeted and sustainable trade promotion opportunities for Indonesian products. "We would like to thank all companies that participated in the selection process. For companies that have not been selected, we hope they will continue to improve their export readiness and keep innovating. We will continue to open various trade promotion opportunities so that more Indonesian products can penetrate global markets,” Zulvri said.
During the exhibition, the 10 Indonesian companies will also participate in business forums and business matching sessions with potential buyers from Saudi Arabia and other countries. These activities are expected to generate business transactions as well as long-term cooperation. “We are optimistic that Indonesia’s participation will further strengthen the image of national fashion products while opening opportunities for trade transactions and sustainable business cooperation," Zulvri added.
