RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta – The Indonesian Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, said Indonesia aims to strengthen industrial ties with Eurasian nations. According to him, participation in INNOPROM 2026 in Yekaterinburg, Russia, is part of this strategy.

INNOPROM 2026 is the largest industrial exhibition in the Eurasian region, with Indonesia serving as one of the official partner countries. “We want to build mutually beneficial partnerships with Russia and other Eurasian countries,” Minister Agus said on Monday, July 13, 2026.

The Ministry’s presence at the exhibition was represented by, among others, the Agency for Industrial Human Resources Development (BPSDMI). BPSDMI Head Doddy Rahadi said his agency is using this event to promote Indonesia’s industrial workforce and open opportunities for cooperation.

“We support the growth of the national industry through the development of industrial human resources to produce a globally competitive workforce. BPSDMI’s presence at INNOPROM 2026 can promote the quality of Indonesia’s industrial human resources and open up opportunities for cooperation,” he said.

At INNOPROM 2026, BPSDMI, together with the Jakarta APP Polytechnic and the Jakarta School of Industrial Management (STMI) Polytechnic, introduced Indonesia’s industrial vocational ecosystem. These two educational institutions are creating opportunities for international collaboration through international classes, student exchanges, and research initiatives.

The Ministry also introduced PIDI 4.0 as a one-stop service for strengthening the industrial ecosystem, human resources, industrial facilitation, and the AI Center. PIDI 4.0 partners with dozens of national and international stakeholders, opening up broader opportunities for collaboration.

Doddy hopes that BPSDMI’s participation in INNOPROM 2026 will positively impact the development of the industrial workforce. According to him, this participation is also expected to enhance the global image of Indonesia’s industrial vocational training and education programs.

“We hope that BPSDMI’s presence at INNOPROM 2026 will have a significant impact on the development of the industrial workforce, in part by projecting a positive image of Indonesia’s industrial vocational training and education programs to the world,” said Doddy. (Gusti Panji-EN)
