RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), the upstream subholding of state-owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina (Persero), recorded total oil and gas production of 1.03 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (MMBOEPD) in 2025.

The production consisted of 557,000 barrels of oil per day and 2.76 billion standard cubic feet of gas per day. PHE Corporate Secretary Hermansyah Y. Nasroen said on Monday, February 2, 2026, that the achievement reflected the company’s efforts to maintain the national energy supply.

“This production achievement reflects our commitment to maintaining the sustainability of national energy,” Hermansyah said, as quoted by Antara.

Throughout 2025, PHE conducted exploitation drilling at 886 wells and workovers on 1,288 wells. The company also completed 37,259 well service activities during the year.

In the exploration segment, PHE completed 2,931 kilometers of two-dimensional seismic surveys and 855 square kilometers of three-dimensional seismic surveys, as well as drilling 20 exploration wells.

These activities resulted in the discovery of 2C oil and gas resources totaling 1,097 million barrels of oil equivalent (MMBOE), largely originating from non-conventional oil and gas assets in the Aman Trough area within the Rokan Working Area. In addition, the company recorded an increase of 313.7 MMBOE in proven (P1) reserves.

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the PPC-01 exploration well in the Padang Pancuran Structure, operated by PHE Jambi Merang, began production.

“As of December 26, 2025, the actual production of the PPC-01 well reached 451.42 barrels of oil per day, exceeding the initial target of 400 barrels of oil per day,” Hermansyah said. ***
